Gastroenterology Consultants of Libertyville, Ltd. perform both diagnostic and therapeutic
endoscopic procedures. A brief description of the basic endoscopic procedures and liver biopsy is given as well as an overview
of the preparation for each.
When procedures are scheduled, patients meet with one of our Registered
Nurses to review the patient's current health status and obtain information on any medications being taken as well as medication
allergies. A detailed instruction on the preparation for the procedure is given to the patient at that time.
